Your Rag Mates

i seem to remember at school that you had city fans and band wagon liverpool fans.... can't put my finger on too many rags; especially ones that went to the match. (not that they do now!)
the select few where arseholes then and the bandwagon liverpool fans soon changed their allegiance toward the sound of the salford brass band.
i have a question for you...
i have seen many rags turn their allegiance to city, but have 'never' even heard of the other way round; even when the going was a bit tough against our neighbours... stockport.

have you ever heard or seen a blue go red???

Yes my sister turned Red after getting with her Rag boyfriend. She used to come to Maine road all the time but has only been to old trafford once(charity game).

They are coming round on Boxing day.

Any Ideas?

most of my close mates are rags ...... but proper rags who attend alot of there matches .... not one of them is arrogant or big headed .... you will find its most of the plastic lot who are like that ......... NOT STICKING UP FOR THEM ONE BIT .... I HATE THEM WITH A PASSION JUST AS MUCH AS ANYONE ELSE DOES :)

I have family and friends that are United fans. They are all season ticket holders and are knowledgeable football fans.

I am aware of a fan in my social circle (never class him as a friend). To do a timeline:

1990 - never even spoke about football.
1993 - United's biggest fan ever.
1995 - 2009 Most annoying rag in the world
2010 - gone quiet.

COCK
spot on I've known lads since schooldays never known them to support united then after 99 it was sharp shirt on sat in the boozer giving it large, tossers every man jack of them

Notice the trend?

Some sound lads who actually support the club, know about football...Actually go to The Swamp and watch games.

Then Theres the majority.... The souvenier loving rags with the car stickers, replica shirt every season and the season card with Sky Digital.... and the games not on sky spent sat in the local boozer giving it large.

Any 'mates' I have who are rags are normal people until football is brought into the conversation. They then to a man turn into first class knobs, every single one of them. Also as someone who is now into his forties it has always been the case.

Most of my friends support Nited. my closest friends support City.
When I was of a school age ,although it s a cliche, I really did go to City one week and Trafford the next ( without ever losing my integrity I might add).

Now is the time to embrace Nited fans as friends because, lets face it , we have loads of payback for them.
