Your Rag Mates

They've always been arrogant cvnts, even when they were shit they were generally still better than us. They've always had the arrogant "we're great, everyone else is shit" thing going on. What I have noticed about them is how bitter they've become now they can't look down on us and snigger anymore, its as if their power has been removed and all of a sudden instead of waving us away with a nonchalant swipe they absolutely hate us and seem more interested in us failing then them succeeding.

i seem to remember at school that you had city fans and band wagon liverpool fans.... can't put my finger on too many rags; especially ones that went to the match. (not that they do now!)
the select few where arseholes then and the bandwagon liverpool fans soon changed their allegiance toward the sound of the salford brass band.
i have a question for you...
i have seen many rags turn their allegiance to city, but have 'never' even heard of the other way round; even when the going was a bit tough against our neighbours... stockport.

have you ever heard or seen a blue go red???

my boss was once a blue and turned red, apparently he turned around May 1999. I didn't know him when he was blue but apparently all his brothers are blue, I don't think he ever went to City and he doesn't go to the swamp unless he gets free tix, TBH you could write his knowledge of football on the back of a stamp. He's a complete wanker too which could explain things!

haha, so even though the answer is yes... it seems like they are people pleasing tossers!? haha

NO you can`t talk football in general to them as it always goes same way.

Since the enormous strides we have taken my nephew only rag in family keeps proving that point to me so as far as i go we didn`t exist before the take over and so now they dont exist to me my life is better that way

hand on heart i have no rag mates....know a few from the pub but they are NOT mates! all the lads i am mates with are blue and salfordians!

i never ever get txts and i was pissed off after the 6-1 because i had no one to give shit to!

I used to think I had rag mates...but a lot of them have gone 'incommunicado' since April.

They made a brief re-appearance in August...but nothing since.

I'm starting to suspect they're not really my friends as they keep ignoring me.

I even sent them an email of condolonce on October 24th but they didn't even thank me for that.

Should I be feeling paranoid???

Not all rags are the same.
Have noticed a definite change in a friend who is a red.
No longer takes the piss at parties and agrees we are playing the best footy in the league.
Even invited me to go drink a bottle of wine in his kitchen and show me his autographed photo of SAF.
Don't think I'll bother with that one...
