Your thoughts on Alex Ferguson as a manager

Some of United's transfer fees are gigantic when adjusted for inflation. Especially Veron, Ferdinand, and Rooney's. I'm sure they push £50million to £60million each. I mean £28.1million for Veron in 2001. 2001! We get blamed along with Real and Chelsea but United have been as bad as anyone for inflating transfer fees and wages (Keane the first PL player to make £50,000/week back in 2000).

Exactly, Robinho's transfer was some 100k too big to stop them having 3 biggest transfers ever in Premier League at same moment, and some of them were decade old.

Veron's transfer is still 16th biggest world's football transfer and it happened 12 years ago.

Reds will try and use our recent spending to include that in any comparison when we were just playing catch up, and had to vastly over pay as other clubs knew that Sheikh Mansour had vast wealth.

I was shocked when we paid £31 million for Robinho. Then I realised that United had paid that amount ten years earlier for Ferdinand. When you include inflation then United's spending has been frightening.

I can't think of any other manager who has spent the amount Ferguson has spent and when you take into account inflation then it is well over £1 Billion. Also I cannot recall any other manager who was handed 6 exceptional youth team players as happened in the early 90's and who went on to have such a massive impact on the success of the reds.

Fergie has had the resources that no other manager has been lucky to receive.

Quite astonishing really, I'll leave it to the more financially savvy amongst us to decide how accurate it is but on this link, with inflation accounted for it shows Rooney and Ferdinand in todays market would equate to £62.6 million and £61.6 million respectively, without even mentioning Veron and others.

Where did City 'earn' all their money for their most recent purchases?

On the basis that Mancini has the resources that no other manager has, you'll be winning the league every year going forward now will you?

Scraped it on goal difference last season and hardly looking spectacular this season. Embarrassing.

Anyway, lets not fall out over it and revert to name calling - we're all friends here

Embarrassing? Here's how we view it: Our first league title of the Premier League era was more memorable than any league win in English history. More memorable than any of United's "19". It will always be remembered more than ANY season finale. It was drama at it's finest. Winning the league by 10pts (which would have broken Mourinho's points record by 4pts) would have been nice and dandy but we're Manchester City and our club is a rollercoaster ride for better or for worse and NOTHING will ever top this and the subsequent outpouring of emotion.

Where did United 'earn' the money to outspend City 40 times in last 3 years before his first title? BTW, couldn't care less about where's money coming from tbh, it's enough to see you bastards suffering :) I hope, Sheikh will spend another 3 billions and you just talk and cry :)

Lol.. then again, who in the right mind would be fan of that shit anyway... you're just where you belong :)
