Your thoughts on Alex Ferguson as a manager

He's a genius. You look at some of the completely average players he's managed and you just scratch your head. The only reason they finished the same points as us last season was due to him. Honestly think they'll win it this season with RVP. European football isn't as simple as some would think too. A lot of teams can get lucky just like Chelsea did last year. Play bad in one game and your out. I'm sure if the Champions league was like an actual league he'd have his teams always up there right near the top spot.

A singleminded,ruthless genius - The managerial benchmark.

A shame he hasn't much time left.

Nowhere near genius. If he were a Mozart or an Einstein he'd have beaten Sunderland 12-0 last game of the season. He's a lucky bully! And if he lasts to th'end of the season, it'll be too long!

How many cups, trophies and titles did he win with East Stirlingshire?

I think that every "accomplishment" he's achieved has been as a direct result of more resources and the later influence in the media, FA, and with the Refs.

You put him in charge of Everton, Fulham, or another solidly mid-table club with no help from the refs or a massive budget, and I think you'd see how little he actually does.

I think the only genius thing he has done, is either directly or indirectly turn the entire league into a scripted farce.

Whatever qualities he has as a manager is overshadowed by the way his club get results. Some people wonder how he manages to get a mid-table team to the top 2 spot every year... well you've seen it in the big three games they've had this season. His team plays like shit, they often lack any winning tactics, and the ref has to do just enough to make them win. They'd be solidly fighting for Europa league football year after year without the establishment requiring them to win to bring in the Asian and American viewers, oh and the Londoners too.

I'm sorry, but that is bollocks.

You take any manager, whether it be Fergie, Mancini, Mourinho, Guardiola, and give them a shit club, and it wont be easy.

You can only judge someone one what they do with the resources at hand.

I'm too pissed to even go into this deeply. But I'm aware enough to reslise the above comment is bollocks.

If you compared Ferguson To Bob Paisley i would say Bob Paisley was the best of all time.Paisley didnt need as many favours from referees and he won more european cups 3 in 9 years as a manager
