Rising Damp
Royle Family
Only fools and Horses
On the buses
Two Ronnies
Open all hours

This one is my choice aswell Mamba for a young lad I was brought up on all of these.

Some great comedy series out there. In no order.
Phoinex Nights
The Office
Royal Family
Fawlty Towers
Porridge

Only Fools And Horses went on for far too long in my opinion all the above you could watch them over time and time again and still find them funny.

Just saying there have been some classy comedy series writen by Irish people shown in the UK.
Black Books , Father Ted and The IT Crowd have all been writen by Graham Linehan and what ever he does seems to do alright for them.

Also brace yourself for Brendan O Carrolls Mammys Boys that the BBC will be screening some time soon. It will go out after the watershead we have it on at the moment here and there is some funny parts in it nowhere near the standard of other Irish comedies that was done in the UK.

Alan Partirdge
Only fools
Inbetweeners
Peep show
Teachers

One that i've not seen mentioned yet is Green Wing. Great show just edged up by the brilliant and equally underated Teachers.

Honourable mentions to the obvious others like phoenix nights office royal family.
