Your worst City memory

QPR at home, the famous Pollock own goal game. I've never felt so empty after a game. Our once proud club was needing a miracle to stop us sliding into the third tier of the Football League. I felt like a family member had died that day, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that.

notts county away few years back

we were at the top of the table and they were near the bottom. If we beat them we had automatic promotion..it was easy wasn't it ! all set for the glory days to return..again.

Anyway as lots on here will remember we were 3 down at half time!!

Me and my mate joey were about 15 and went down on the nat express coach to Nottingham. There was rioting everywhere was a nightmare!

This was probably my lowest day we should have murdered them and got promoted and we blew it at the county!!

Great day though...CTID

Last nights result had me thinking, my worst City memory caused me to hate Spurs more than any other team.

This feeling goes back to the '81 cup final and the loss to Spurs in the replay.

Being 11 and going to Wembley for the first time, with my Dad and Grandfather who had encouraged me to support City for as long as I can remember.

The disappointment of not going to the first game, only to be replaced by sheer joy by getting tickets to the replay, with the memory of Paul Powers wonderful free kick against Ipswich fresh in my mind from semi when my Dad held me up behind the goal to see it hit the back of the net.

Only to be shattered by the result and the endless repeats of bloody Ricky Villa's goal every year since.

any more out there....

For me this and that bastard prostitute loving **** dancing over maine road as we got relegated, i believe a tear was shed on both occasions.
I was there for that one too.I sat in the North stand, gob open and not believing what had just happened. The worst bit was me saying to my mate "no problem they won't score"--just before Antice [or whatever the bastard was called] scored.

Two for me

West Ham in the FA cup 3 or 4 years ago. Had convinced myself it was our year after Michas last minute equalise at Villa in the previous round.

2-3 against the rags at Maine Rd when we were 2-0 up at half time. WaS only 13 at the time but would have been happy to throw a number of hand grenades into the away end that day.

Failing to sign Mido on January deadline was certainly one.

Sun Jihai playing at LB against Fulham at home was another. Still, my wife to this very evening wears my old Sun Jihai t-shirt as a nightie. I find this somewhat beautiful because she does this only when she's really tired or feeling ill. On these occasions the perfect (but unattributable) similic phrase 'endearingly inept' springs instantly to mind.

Managed Barca and Real and Athletico Madrid.

Picked out Iniesta from the reserves and played him.

How did I forget that 3-2?? That was crushing. The problem with that game was, we just knew it was going to happen.

There's only really one ......

5th January , 1980 ....... FA Cup 3rd Rd / The Shay

Halifax Town ......1 Manchester City ....... 0

Probably our lowest point ever , on an extremely cold day.

Beat me to it.Some tw@t called Romark had cast a spell or curse on Allison before the game and this was given as the reason for defeat. Was living in Sheffield at the time and wish I has a quid for every time someone shouted"Hey Romark"

Also it pissed down on an open end that was a mud bank and I kept sliding down it.
