Your worst ever City game witnessed?

countless home games under pearce were bad
yeah fair enough it wasn;t the dark days of div 1/2 but this was meant to be the dawn of a new era new stadium good times ahead and all we got was the tripe he served up

one game from maine road which i remember that was awaful was a friendly between sheff wed 97/98 think it was actually at the end of the 97 relagaton season it was a fucking awful pointless game and it was freezing

city 0 - 1 middlesborough

a few seasons back at eastlands. it was a terrible game and there were drips of water from the roof splashing on me every 20-or-so seconds. the first and only time i've ever left a game before the final whistle (it was half-time). missed the bus home too.

At Maine Road, cant recall the year (though mid / late 90's???)
Lost 4-0 against Wimbledon....... maybe it was later and Keegan was manager.
Whenever it was - it was dire!

Was that the promotion season when that was the only game we lost at home? If so, it was Gillingham, I think.

The one game that sticks in my mind is one we lost at CoMS to Southampton, I think it was 3-1, and was the worst home performance of the last 10 years. Might have been the game before the Newcastle win which assured we stayed up, but because we were still very much in the relegation fight before Southampton, the result felt like proper doom-and-gloom. I was preparing myself for relegation after it, I felt we didn't deserve to stay up if we played like that. Not sure if it was under KK or Pearce though.

Other honourable mentions:
Losing 1-0 at home to Bolton after hitting the woodwork a record amount of times in one game.
Losing 1-0 at home to Middlesborough, even though they didn't have a shot on target. Fucking Sun Jihai.
Losing 8-1 to Boro away. I'm actually pretty glad Boro are in the Championship, haha.

When Sunderland came to visit Maine Rd in the 73-74 season, it was the FA Cup and City was playing really well in its FA Cup campaign till that fateful saturday, I was standing in the Kippax, and it was a crush and I think we went up 2-0, before Sunderland fought back and made it 2-2, and so to Roker Park and the rest was history, I've never felt so gutted after the result 3-0 or 3-1, but the united fans gleefully rubbed it in, it took weeks to get over that result.....
