Zaba, Yaya, Silva, Vinnie, Kun and Harty - Life after they all leave City

Not worried at all, i'm confident that by the time they retire we will have agreed a fee for KDB.

Vincent Kompany will move into politics before becoming disillusioned with it and coming back into football to sort out the corruption in world football, possibly with a spell at UEFA.

Yaya toure will open a learning and wellness centre through sport in his native Ivory Coast with kolo in honour of their late brother. He will become the head of development for African football reporting directly to Vincent.

Can really see Vinnie in UEFA in years to come. Highly intelligent fella. Can also see Yaya as some form of ambassador like you say, potentially with Drogba

It's a bit like watching your kids grow up.

Cherish every moment while they are here because one day they will fly the nest.

At some point they will leave. They can be considered as legends of this football club. How do you imagine a life after that? How will it feel when you look at the starting 11 sheet and there are no Kun, no Vinnie, no Zaba, no Yaya? I mean it's not the same like watch Jovetic leaving because of their contribution to the club. Share your thoughts.

This thread could have been titled "have you ever considered just ending it all?"

Made me chuckle.

In my perfect world Vinny will rediscover his best form, maintain that until he retires and then become our manager for the next 50 years with Zaba as his assistant, dominating all competitions to the point that the rags just give up and become a baseball team because they "were never really interested in football anyway".

Hart is replaceable, the rest will be hard especially Yaya/Silva/Aguero

Considering he's spent 7 years at a club that is willing to spend hundreds of millions of pounds a year on transfers and has never been replaced, it seems your idea is probably wrong.

In fact I'd go as far to say that Hart is consistently the most underrated and under appreciated player at City.

Could have something to do with the fact that we have to have homegrown players. Wouldn't call him consistent either, he had a shocker of a season when we last won the title. Good keeper but I don't think he will be that hard to replace compared with world class players like Yaya, Merlin and Kun.

Exhibit A m'lud

Surprised an average keeper has managed to win the all time PL record number of Golden Gloves

In our side good IS average.

You know that in his clean sheets per game record he's around the level of David Seaman and Peter Schmeichel?
Clean sheets are a combined effort of the goalkeeper and the defence so I would say that stat is a bit misleading. I've said he's a good keeper, I just don't think he'll be as hard to replace as world class players like Yaya/Merlin/Kun. World class players are hard to attract but I think we are more than capable of attracting a keeper on Joe's level if not higher that's all I'm saying.

And I'm saying that by every single metric he's already world class and if he was foreign or played for United would be recognised as such.

On the clean sheets stat - how did he win it last year? Our defence was an absolute shambles.

Forster would have walked it if he didn't get injured. I think you are missing my point, I am not saying he's a bad keeper I just don't think it's the end of the world if he was to leave because there are plenty of adequate replacements in world football. Not sure why you are so defensive when I've already said he's a good keeper.
