The only player I've known to play 4 days after suffering a hamstring injury. The guy is made of granite, has the heart of a lion and is a charming articulate guy. Very sad to see him go.

That was shortly after he flew back from his Dad's hospital bed in Argentina to play for us when Micah got injured too (his Dad was in a coma after a bad motorbike accident) iirc. Fucking legend.

City great but a 3 year deal is very generous. Good luck to him.

He's only just turned 32. At a club like West Ham, he can definitely give them 3 years of service. He was probably be best RB in the league for a good few years and he's never relied on his pace. But he probably does need to be in a more organised defence than ours nowadays. Or just sitting in front of the back four. He doesn't have the energy to get up and down the pitch like he used to.

I'd have preferred him to perhaps move within the CFG but he can do no wrong.

A brilliant servant to the club who gave 100% in everything he did, if any West ham fans are worried he'll give them any less, even against us, then they should give themselves a slap, Zab just doesn't work like that.

If the 3 years are factual,then he and his agent have pulled a blinder......he will obviously still give his all,as he knows no different,but i cant help feeling his decline will be rather rapid from here on in,because as much as the mind will have ideas,his body will have others.

As for his time here,well its been a privilege to watch his development from a clumsy,hot headed,liability to one of the best right backs in the world.His attitude and commitment has been faultless,he's been an inspiration to his teammates and also us fans - without any hesitation or doubt,whenever i hear his name,i will immediately think of him with nothing but fondness and admiration - he's a blue through and through and he's written himself forever into our history as a true legend of our modern era.

He was the best right back in the world a few seasons ago. Hope he has success wherever he ago and returns to the cfg after his playing days are done. He has far too much to give to be playing in oz or the state's at this stage but really hope he returns to the fold. Man is a legend.
