Why do you think he deserves a new contract

If it's true I would wish him all the best.
He's been brilliant for city true legend.
Hope he returns one day as a coach or something.
I don't mind west ham so if he has to go somewhere I'd rather it was there.

Why do you think he deserves a new contract

I would for a year or 2, and a role after if he wanted, very rare to find someone like him nowadays, who truly loves the club and that behind the scenes, around the new players/youth team is invaluable.

He is settled in Manchester and doesn't make noises about leaving the city.

Read any players memoirs and they all go on about book, bell, barnes etc ex legends who infused the clubs soul into the new and young players.

Though if he want to carry on playing 3 or 4 more years and has to go somewhere am happy it's west ham.


If true also and we reach cup final must be captain for his final game.
