Zabaleta: Overtaken Richards as our first choice RB

I think its more a case that Zabba has found form at a time when Richards has had a few niggles.

Exactly. Squad game, momentum, form and other cliches.

It's really not that complicated, is it?

BTW I thought that Tiotte had a bad head injury and so is he actually going to play?

Pablo has been magnificent this season - his performances have been extraordinary, full of guts, determination, passion, and no little skill. He has kept Theo Walcott, Ashley Cole, Giggs, Evra out of the respective games with his defensive play and he has added the attacking wing play to his repertoire.

He can be trusted to keep his concentration better than Richards and for me, the only thing that's missing is goals. Despite that, he has made himself our number one choice for our right back position and Micah is going to find it a struggle to dislodge him.

Zabman, he's in form and is has earned his place completely and there is no need to change the defence they were brilliant against the scum.

I think Henry Winter said Tiote was on the bench by the end of the Chelsea game and looked fine. Then Pardew said post match he'll definitely play Sunday.

Well he was stretchered off against Chelsea so hopefully not.

Thanks. I knew he was on the bench but not what Pardew said. Hasn't he got stitches in his head? Not even Tricky Trev could have played with that injury!

TBH up until the point he got elbowed i hardly heard his name mentioned, lets hope if he is playing he has a quiet game.

Pardew was hyperboling quite a lot, when asked about Tiote i think it went a bit like this:

"He's got a 9 inch gash through his head, 400 stitches and there's no doubt he'll be playing on Sunday."

I nominated Zabba as my "unsung hero" so you wont get much argument from me. However Micah is a vital part of our future. Hes still a very young man and the role of a modern full back is requires a lot of skill and knowhow. Zabba has the edge at the moment but thats purely down to age and experience. Micah is a fantastic prospect. Hes not a bad CB either. I think Mancini has got it just about right with his policy of rotating Zabba and Micah. There is no finer sight in football than Micah marauding down the wing brushing aside the opposition like skittles.
