I have been following the blues since 1976. I cannot think of a player that I have liked more than Zaba. He is not the best footballer or most technically gifted player we have now or have had in the past. However, you can see the improvements in his game since he came, which must be testament to all of the hard work he puts in. Probably the main reason I love the guy is that he plays how we would all play if we got the chance, passion, heart, never say die attitude, and seems to genuinely love the club. Love the guy (in a manly way of course!!!!)

It was made easy for Hazard because we only had two in midfield and one of them being one of the slowest players on the pitch. Zab was left exposed.

sorry mate but zaba has more talent in his left nut sack than micah. Dont get me wrong hes a great lad and i would keep him but i really dont rate richards and i think he is vastly Over-rated on here. his speed gets him out of so much shit. imo of course.

Micah gave us so much more in attacking options. I must say that, with a change in tactics under Pelle this might be a less important facet of full-back play, but under Mancini with so few wide attacking options we really missed Micah's marauding runs. With luck we can rely on the attacking players to do just that, and the full-backs to defend, in which case Zab will come in to his own.

Did someone just say there are better right fullbacks than Zaba?? Wow laughing out loud is an understatement, there's only one fullback in the world who is better than him and thats Lahm. Period.

No one has the balance of offense and defense in the way Zabaleta does, his perfect in that sense and on top of that is a very hard worker. Only reason Lahm edges it for me is that he is technically superior and perhaps better offensively (not much difference defensively, which is the main judgement of a fullback). Other than Lahm you won't find a better fullback.

On another note RBs are superior tp LBs, there is a real lack of quality around Europe in the LB position - you will find a lot of teams weak spot is in that area. Also goes to show that if Baines is supposedly the best LB in the league how poor that position is...

Micah is decent going forward but i believe Zabba does it to at least the same standard on a much more consistent basis.
Zabba has superseeded him massively imo.
It is a damn shame for Micah and injuries but he is partly to blame imo, he is just to big and heavy, stopping his mass dead is gonna put huge stresses on the body.

I'd really like to agree with you, but when he gets a couple of games he breaks again, and like Zin says, he has nowhere near the intelligence to play in the style we play currently. I don't think there is a blue that wouldn't love Micah to be as good as Zab, but its highly unlikely to happen.

He's a great lad, and most of us would love him to become a City legend who came through the youth, and retire here.

I'm not naive enough to ignore something is considerably wrong, hence both will be gone in the summer, one I know as fact.... You're right though, support them while they are here....... That doesn't navigate away from the fact that even a fit Micah isn't fit to lace zabs boots.....
