Zinchenko apologies for wife’s criticism of Pep

We can only hope that the majority of players still (not the ones on the out like Stones, Otamendi etc.) has 100% trust in Pep otherwise next season will be shit.

What a load of fuss over fuck all, again. There are so many 'outlets' for what people pass as sports news these days. Social media is not news. This is not, to use a modern phrase in keeping with these noise and text makers, a thing. If people listen to and perform about everything that these days has a digital profile of some kind then they will be finding offence or fault in everything. What a load of shit.

So you really can’t see why this is a problem?

You also think it’s a good look that he revealed Guardiola did not speak to the players after the game?

It doesn’t matter if the fans believe it. This creates division coming from a player’s comments compounded by his wife’s comments.

She's understandably upset that her little Oleksandr isn't getting any playing time, but she's called it absolutely correctly, Pep fooked up against Lyon, not addressing the team afterwards is poor and as we've seen in the PL this season, we've lost 9 games due to some absurd selection policies, yet other games (such as Real Madrid) we were World class.

It might create division, but it's an obvious cry from a player desperate to leave after seeing so little playing time after he moved from Midfield to Defence. If Phil wasn't such a die-hard Blue we might have seen a Tweet from him too.

I know we trust in Pep, but his failure to sign a defender last year, look for a Striker to replace Jesus (will never be a top Striker) and take over from Sergio in a year or two, his signing of Mahrez, at best a player who plays well in 1 in 6 games, in fact his signings in total, they've been far from stellar and his failure to turn Bernardos drop in form around.

How many times this season have we seen the same ponderous build up and toothless pissing around at the edge of the box before flinging in a cross that our midget front line or midfield has no chance of getting on to, then watched as our high defensive line lets the opposition break and score at will. And when the fook has Gundog ever changed a game when we've been behind, yet he's in every sodding team.

The definition of madness is doing the same thing time after time, expecting a different result. I hope that come the new season we see a change in tactics....but will stubborn Pep change?

(Sorry if I missed it) Has anyone got a full transcript of what Zinchenko said? Not just a few quotes here and there. The fact he was hesitant to answer one of the questions makes me think he wasn't TRYING to be provocative.

Also, when were these quotes originally spoken? If they were immediately after the match I can maybe understand why the things that were said were said, particularly by his wife (much like with any fan who's pissed off with a result). But obviously if they're from yesterday then that makes it a bit more concerning.

I've figured full context at least might lead to a more accurate understanding of this situation.
She spoke right after the game. She seems genuinely upset and almost crying, wearing a City shirt. She asked Zinchenko's opinion probalby the next day, and he appears very reluctant to answer but then does under her pressure.

Contrary to the narrative I don't think Pep fucked up against Lyon. We've tried to play our game against teams like that all season and got done. As soon as we went for it against them we conceded shit goals on the break and missed great chances at the other end. Story of the season and that's down to the players not the manager.

It’s inexplicable that we played a formation we had not played all season.

It would be if it were true.

But it's not, we played it vs. Everton, Sheffield United and Manchester United in the League Cup. Imagine that, the players being asked to play a formation they've already used quite a few times before (90% of them were also around when we played 352 at the beginning of last season).

This is the kind of thing I'm talking about when I said people should stop pushing bullshit narratives and talk about things properly.

yet he done something different against Lyon and you still aren’t happy. Make you’re mind up. People moaned he didn’t have a plan B first year. Then when he mixes it up he’s mad. I agree he got it wrong against Lyon, he’s got an awful lot right though, a lot more right than any manage before him had done and probably many managers after him will do. We’ve done things no other club has done.Blame lies at his door as well 100% I’m not blind to some of the shortcomings but so many times where we’ve missed a million and one chances a game is out of his hands too. If you’re that against him then Christ knows your thoughts on Ball, Pearce etc

oh and the games you’ve claimed we were world class in. Gundog started them both...

Vlada Sedan is a tv sports presenter and has exactly the same right as any other human to express her opinion on the game irrespective of her relationship to anyone. So has Zinchenko, did he call Pep a murderer, rapist, thief ? , no, apparently just said Pep didn't talk to the team after the game which given the mistakes of all parties involved may have been wise. The DM have obviously succeeded in their efforts to create a crisis where there is none. Much doo doo about nothing. Wise up, if there is a "controversy" our club is smart enough to sort it.
