Can only be in the diet or the supplements they are on. The players are so lean, a certain percentage of fat protect our muscle / tendons. Some of us have more protection than others...

Not that our players are taking enhancement supplements but you speak to weightlifters / bodybuilders / strongman athletes and they will all say you are more likely to injure yourself when you are on enhanced supplements ( of various levels !!!! ). This builds strength but weakens the muscles & ligaments resistance and you can tire it easily.

Steds cause ligament injury because you can suddenly lift a lot more weight and train harder, ligaments take time to adjust to new strength gains this is completely different for a footballer it is another world.
 
These injuries just seem to appear out of nowhere, don't be surprised if we hear of another couple of players missing this weekend, that we weren't aware of. Pep's presser will be interesting.
Fucking hell are you ever anything over than pessimistic and morose? What were you like when we were shit?

Apparently lighted candles are very good for avoiding injuries
 

It was something I'd been thinking when I saw he'd had the op, that he'd had a niggle for a while and we waited for Mendy to get some game time before booking him in for surgery. Would explain why he wasn't showing last seasons form.
 
Good news in that it sounds like keyhole surgery and 4 or 5 week absence.

Liverpool havent played that style of play for like a year now they do it in bursts and get the lead and the park the bus thats how klopp keeps them fit a benefit of having a strong defence. We play at full throttle all the time.
