It's a beautiful city, my bro has lived there for about 15/20 years now and I go over as regularly as possible.

He is a member on here (stockholm blue syndrome) so if you need any guidance on the place pm him and I'm sure he would be happy to help.

Cheers mate. I can't believe I haven't been here before. One of my artists has lived out here for three years and he's been hassling me to come for about that long. Yesterday's snap decision to fly out has proven well worthwhile already...

I just asked the guy I'm having a meeting with whether he's been to the Spy Bar. His answer was "I've lived here for 8 years and have successfully avoided it so far..." Not really a ringing endorsement...ha!

Just to bring us back on topic slightly...anyone know where Ibra hangs out. I could always do some international football relations and tell him the "project" would be very lucky to have him join...

Hmm..Ibra got his home in Malmo, rather close to Copenhagen google says.

Coincidence aint the word,it would have been if you(Billy) were in an english bar especially the Tudor Arms(voted best english pub outside of England)but you were in a small outside pub in very cool area of Södermalm.
BTW guys party around Stureplan in bars such as Spy Bar, Riche and Cafe Opera yeh full of fanny but its nowhere near as cool as Södermalm .Much better small bars and restaurants relaxed and friendly people thats where all the downtown fashion is.
Anyway nice to meet you Billy

How the fuck????

I know mate, you really couldn't make it up.

From what I can gather Billy overheard my bro in bar watching England whilst talking about AJ, got chatting and the rest is history, no pm's required just pure luck and the mighty words of fellow blues!

Think this is saying Ibra is asking for more money at Barca. Wonder if he's trying to engineer a move here :-)

they suggest the solution is a loan,? for me, Robinho to Barca on loan, Ibra the other way.

At least a loan would see if he could adjust to playing in this league

would be a great deal if we get silva!! a straight swap loan deal between us would be great for barca and ibra could be a star for us.like i say though would only be worth doing if we got silva.

I’ve always rated Ibra but am honest enough to say I’ve never followed him in great detail so just tend to see highlights of his goals or the odd Inter/Barca/Sweden game. I have just been chatting to a Swedish collegue though who lives in Gothenberg. She and her whole family are mad into football and were involved in the U21 tournament over there last summer - basically I rate her opinion. Her thoughts were that Ibra wouldn’t suit the premier league at all and could see him going back to Italy. She thinks he’s too lazy and needs players around him to do all the donkey work as he won’t do any of it (now maybe that would work well with a partnership with Tevez?) Just passing on an opinion from someone who has probably seen a lot more of him than a lot of us on here (me included).

Indeed...was nice to meet you too...! Walked past your place of work today, but I've got a pretty full day so didn't have time to stop for a chop.

Still loving Stockholm and looking forward to the all day party tomorrow...;- ) We're going to Humlegarden if you're around...

Not at all. Is the Barca who is asking for money. Difficil task.

City are lining up a third big money raid on Spanish football as they turn up the heat in the summer transfer market.

The Blues could land Yaya Toure from Barcelona next week, hope to persuade David Silva to accept a £29m move from Valencia after the World Cup – and are ready to revisit their interest in Nou Camp ace Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The big Swedish striker appeared to be a no-go for the Blues when Barca stated last month they would not sell the man they bought from Inter Milan in a staggering deal worth £56m last summer.

But Barca are still chasing Arsenal’s Cesc Fabregas, Liverpool’s Fernando Torres, Valencia’s Juan Mata and are said to be interested in City star Robinho.

After signing David Villa, the Catalan giants have indicated they may be prepared to sell Ibrahimovic to fund their spree, opening up the intriguing prospect of a player-plus-cash deal for Robinho.

The Brazilian ace’s agent Evandro da Souza and his father Gilvan da Silva met with City officials in Manchester yesterday for an “amicable” meeting about the player’s future.

Their prime aim – to try to get the £32.5m buy’s loan spell at Santos extended beyond August, is believed to have been rebuffed.

But City are expected to allow the agent to tout Robinho’s services to any clubs interested – and that includes Barcelona.

Permission

City are also interested in Barca target Torres but the Liverpool striker appears to have indicated that the lack of Champions League football kills any chance of a move.

The Blues are hoping that their moves in the market will persuade some of Europe’s top stars that they are just one season away from competing with the continent’s elite clubs.

The deal for Toure could be wrapped up early next week, with the big midfielder’s Ivory Coast side set to exit the World Cup after today’s game against North Korea, unless they score a hatful of goals and Brazil do the same against Portugal.

The two clubs have agreed a fee, understood to be around £26m, and Toure has been tempted by the prospect of playing alongside big brother Kolo and by a £120,000-a-week deal.

City also hope that manager Roberto Mancini can charm Silva into accepting a four-year contract offer believed to be worth around £155,000 a week.

They hope to talk to the player over the weekend, following Spain’s final group game against Chile.
Valencia have denied a deal is in place for Silva, although they have given the Blues permission to speak to their player.

The Spanish club’s vice-president Javier Gomez said: “There has been interest from City but we have no agreement on a figure.”

Reports suggest that Chelsea are set to hijack the Silva deal, but Valencia have not given any other club the right to speak to their player.
