La Liga want Man City investigation

Surely, with the likes of PSG, Chelsea and City, all having to pay a premium for top players, we are actually investing money into the game. If UEFA ask Wolfsburg, Everton, Liverpool, Spurs, Monaco, Benfica, Schalke, Arsenal etc, if they have a problem selling players to City for huge fees, it'll be 'no problem for us, do you want to buy any others?' It's killing the Spanish losing Neymar, albeit for world record money, and looks like Lionel wants out on a free. Just killing them!

"Lionel wants out on a free. Just killing them!" The real reason they are in uproar.

Is this because Barca's best kids like Eric Garcia are choosing to come to us? Should absolutely teach them a lesson by going balls out to convince Messi to walk out and join us next summer. Could give them a scare if nothing else and if it comes off then great.

Barca, Madrid and La Liga should be more than worried. When we get a new kit and shirt deal, we could quite easily have an extra £100M each season just based on current market values. Other clubs get shedloads more than us in these areas.

The next PL tv deal is rumoured to be expected to be even higher than the current one.

So we do fight back, we just don't turn it into a mud slinging contest for public consumption.

Good to know.

Of course the BBC report fails to include the line about that, but again shows a graph for highest spenders, taking no interest in net spend.

Not so sure the next PL TV deal will be another big step up.

The hypocrisy from Spain is clear; especially when they let RM and Barca have their own TV deals.

I think UEFA's view is that City's sponsorship deals are not out of proportion and that is why they won't investigate. City seem to have been very careful to keep UEFA onside but PSG could be a different matter; don't pay them enough attention to know.
