there are loads of people who have been going city home and away for years who have barely any loyalty points. my dad for example went to most home and away games in the 70s,80s,90s ( a lot of which was match tickets) and had to stop going because of work, he only started to go again in the last few years after he retired. the current system benefitted people at the time, but for younger people or people like my dad its near impossible to get tickets legitimately for the vast majority of away games. its a closed shop.
the main argument from people like yourself is ' well you should have gone to swansea away midweek'. most people can't practically go to swansea for a midweek game and even if they did it would be years before they'd have any chance of catching up.' Even though you had the opportunity to collect the same points as others' - young people dont have that opportunity though and are basically stopped from going because they were born later.
id make its so 25 % of tickets went to a ballot. so all city fans can have a chance of going away games.
I could go for the 25% going to ballot after the Club have had their share, but it would have to include the corporate in the 25% as this number seems to be creeping up. The number of tourists in our away section is astonishing, they are obviously on packages through the Club sponsors, which is wrong.
What about this as a suggestion, stay with the points system, but you can only have a maximum of 9 away league games per season? This would give high points holders decisions to make and open up opportunities for lower points holders to attend games and pick up points?
