Because burglars don't know where expensive properties are?
No point making it easier for them. It's not just burglars either. It's the local scrotes, stalkers, and other morons you need to worry about. They get triggered by media coverage. The press are setting Jack up as a hate figure and that makes him a target. They did the same with Sterling and it culminated in a vicious attack on Raheem outside our training ground by a racist United fan. The more the mainstream media (and social media) stoke up hatred the worse are the consequences.
For example the hatred between City and LFC fans has been driven by social media (backed by the press). It led to the coach attack and it has increased the level of violence at fixtures betwen both clubs and I have witnessed this first hand on recent trips to Anfield. It will happen again on Sunday and it's only a matter of time before an innocent fan is seriously injured or even killed. Some media outlets are spreading poison in this country.

Exactly. It’s a clause freely entered into by two willing parties who are competent to do so, that provides them both with a level of certainty. Don’t see what the big deal is.
Because people can’t seem to seperate its existence with the idea of haaland leaving the second it activates.
Maybe a Remnant of Small Time City mentality? Maybe a case of people assuming the worst thing will happen? Maybe people actually believing the constantly spun lies of people hating us?

Whatever it is I sometimes worry people are so focused on him leaving they can’t enjoy him properly whilst he’s here

Nothing recent about the hostility. Back in the seventies the worse a trip to OT could involve was a thump or a kick, a trip to Anfield could involve a slash with a craft knife or even a stab. In spite of this the media created the image of the fair minded kopite. The media doesn't help loving fanning the rivalry between ourselves and Liverpool, and Leeds and the rags however this is not new nor is it totally a media invention.
