Songs we no longer sing.

Early memories in the Kippax were the many now politically incorrect ditties - only a poor little scouser, who's that lying on the runway, Spurs are on their way to B......!

Also remember the Rangers/Celtic thing we used to chant between ourselves which was quite odd, not forgetting singing part time supporters as all the queues lined up to leave the platt lane end on 80 mins

I cringe in horror how we used to belt out
Spurs are on their way to B********

God did we really sing that so much

the second line was even worse.

i remember when i first started to follow city as a youngster i thought people were singing
"we'll drink a drink a drink
to colin mcclink mcclink mcclink,
he's the leader of man city,
he's the greatest inside forward
that the world has ever seen"

i sang it like that for ages, never asking what the fuck mcclink even meant.
haha, what a prannock.

Did we really use to sing about beating the shit out of scousers? Thats some green street bollocks. Scary to think that was the norm
Yep, there I was 13 years old singing songs about beating people up, funny old world sometimes. In context (time period) only as offensive as buy your club burn it down for me though, that was the most cringeworthy thing ever

You're a bastard, you're a bastard, you're a bastard referee!

This was awesome at Maine Road.

Would have loved to have heard this aimed at Clattenberg when he gave that penalty against Sterling in the Spurs game last season.

I remember it as

Who's your father, who's your father, who's your father referee,
You ain't got one, you're a bastard, you're a bastard referee...

Nice eh?

Not sure I remember when or where but this sticks in my mind:

Oh they took away my housebrick and my hammer,
They took away my hatchet and my spanner,
But I've still got my boots, my hob nail boots, side by side.

Daft days.

Old classics

Ryan Giggs is ilegitimate (though the last verse is inapropriate)

The shitty man united went to rome to see the pope

I had dog his name was rover

Pardoe, pardoe we're off to mexico
with bell and lee and sumerbee
pardoe, pardoe, pardoe

I also remember one about knickers, gobbles and plums but I never sang it so don't remember how it went

I remember it as

Who's your father, who's your father, who's your father referee,
You ain't got one, you're a bastard, you're a bastard referee...

Nice eh?
Wasn't it where's your father referee ?
That's what I used to sing I think
