£10,000 for a decent car...

Our last 3 cars have been BMW 3 series and it would have to be something special for us to change they have all been reliable and good runners... We have 320d at the moment if and is a great family car does 0-60 in under 7 seconds and if driven economically it will give you 550/600 miles on a full tank, if serviced regular a BMW engine will go to the moon and back...the important thing with buying any second hand car is make sure it has service history with most BMWs that is a given anyway

I'll echo others and say the Mazda 6. Want one myself.

Big cars, good economy and look pretty tidy when theyve got the back windows tinted.

VW , Honda , Toyota ..... or Volvo .... you won't go far wrong with any of them.

And you can get some great deals of the likes of Hyundai or Kia too.
