If they've any sense they should be making it clear that if clubs bugger off on exhibition tours they'll scrap it.

why? It will actually make the PL more special as each team will get 2 weeks off, but their breaks will be staggered so that there are 5 PL games on one weekend, and 5 PL games on the next, so that's something unique. This just means the FA Cup gets shunted to midweek so people will care even less about it.

Trouble is as well as teams buggering off abroad to play there's also the weather issues, we can have snow from November to February and could end up with serious backlogs of games.

Don't think it's really about the snow hardly any premier league games get called off for snow these days, don't think Pep would allow us to use it for anything other than a break and warm weather training.

Pep might protest but if our football directors sees an opportunity such as the rumoured trip to Brazil for a couple of couple of promotional friendlies then Feb is just about right for that weather wise.
