Quite clear why he is rated the best young defender in europe i was disappointed Laporte left us , he served our club with distinction but Gvardiol is a younger version of a Laporte in his pomp but with more physicality , he wasnt cheap but potential world class will never be cheap.

Do you mean at this very particular moment in time, as in whilst Stones is injured.

Nah , he is better than Ake at both position. It just looks that way because when he plays LB he doesn't get enough of the ball at his feet like when he plays CB. It is much more difficult to dominate from the LB position than from the CB, but he is no stranger to that either. In order for him to be fully usable in the LB position, we have to wait for Stones to return, because with Ake and Akanji it is impossible to create a 3-2 starting position, therefore everything looks strange.

Agree. I won't play Kyle every game. I would rather save Kyle's leg for the big games for the second half of the season.

I honestly don't remember a center back that was as good as Gvardiol at 21.

If he keeps improving he will be an all timer.

I don’t think so you know, as long as Foden is playing inside right, Walker will be playing right back high and wide

Why was he on the bench? He should be playing alongside Dias every match.
