Sergio is an utter legend and his goal scoring record will never be broken IMO, if he wants to call it a day at City that's his choice and it should be respected... He won't be going to any other PL club thats for sure, with Jesus sidelined for the foreseeable future Sergio will be top dog again until the end of the season. Jesus is going to be a superstar very soon but at the minute Sergio would always be my No1 pick up front...

"Valued by the coach" is a diplomatic way of saying he wants to play when he wants, which is no different to every other player.

I think it will depend on intentions from Guardiola - I don't see the club keeping him to start 1 in 5 matches.

He does occasionally seem annoyed about being taken off, but I wonder how much is at his own failure to score, and therefore his likelihood to play.

I read the full remarks he made in the paper today and in context the position hasn't changed since the summer,he wants to stay but as with all the players pep gets to decide for them

I found his mild irritation with Sergio’s habitual lack of engagement with the ridiculously tilted ‘mixed zone’ to itself be mildly irritating.
