Has experience playing in a back 3, and his performances there for wales have been very good, so he could be the flexible fullback/CB Pep wants to be able to switch formations mid game.

I assume if Pep wants him he's seen something in him and he'll be good enough. He's only 23.

Probably not true but if so we need to be going for much better players.

One thing that might influence this is our squad makeup. We are right on the limit of non homegrown, if we lose Clichy and Delph, depending on who else we are targetting in the summer we may need to bring in a homegrown somewhere. Homegrown full backs seem more likely than homegrown centre midfield or centre backs.
