they are all up here in the foothills of the pennines, mate.
i've never ever seen so many of them.

funny thing is, there are loads of these large black flies,
huge fuckers with long trailing legs hanging underneath them.
no idea what they are or where they came from,
but the martins, swifts and swallows are gorging themselves.

Yeah seen these black flies they've got a cock and balls too

I rescued a baby Magpie 2 weeks ago week in my back garden. Found it flapping around the grass trying to fly. Stopped my cats getting to it. Rang the RSPB. They told me to catch it and to put it in the nearest tree or on a shed roof. Somewhere high up. Eventually caught it. Climd on to my shed roof. Put it in the tree behind my shed, it flapped about a bit, and flew down on to the neighbours shed roof which is covered in moss and plants. The baby Magpie settled down there in safety. It’s mother was in the tree above it. Never went back to it afterwards. Hopefully it managed to fly away with it’s mother?

Dont know if it's been mentioned but what's happened to all the Housemartins these days, weve not had any for the last two or three years now, there use to be a richness of them in the summer
