Chelsea: Terry, Lampard, Cole, Cole etc
Scum: Carrick, Scholes, Rooney, Ferdinand, Neville, Fletcher etc
Villa: Young, Young, Agbonlahor, Barry etc
Pool: Carragher, Gerrard etc

They've all got a solid backbone of British players with leadership qualities. We've got an invertebrate mix of Irish, Zimbabwe, Spanish, Brazilian with absolutely no leadership.

It's not about nationality.

Ashley Cole isn't a leader for example and Martin Laursen is Villa's captain.

As for Liverpool, they have three Brits in their first-team squad.
