As for not knowing what to expect Imagine a five star hotel that moves from city to city with theatre, piano bars, bistros, discos, high end restaurants, swimming pools, ice cream parlours, cafes, coffee shops, casinos shopping and much more and you are almost there

The best part about cruises for me is that there is no duty driver as you can walk everywhere on board

Yes we have La Merce. I have an Spanish friend who lives just outside Barcelona, who is going to look after us while we are there. couldnt get in our usual hotel, the Hisperia Ramblas as it is fully booked, so staying in the Lleo just off Placa de Catalunya.

Lleo is a decent enough hotel with a magnificent sun terrace and pool (if the weather is still warm enough, the bacon at breakfast wasn't the best from what I recall, and the traffic noises mean make sure the windows are closed if at the front of the hotel

That's the beauty of a cruise, they even employ someone to drive the thing so you nor anyone in your party have to bother (sort of like having your own nautical chauffeur, though if invited to the Captains table, ask yourself who is driving while he is stuffing his face)Right, I'm not going on a cruise ship then if they make you take turns driving it.
