Devante Cole

I'd like to see Cole go to a decent Championship team with a good coach.

He did well in League One and is ready to move up a level IMO. He probably won't be a starter straight away, but let him fight for his place. A young player having to impress and, in Cole's case, score goals to get a start is a positive thing.

I think with some young players now they expect everything to be handed to them and don't react well to having to fight for a place in the team. It could be a really good learning curve for the lad.

Hopefully the club chooses the correct loan club and Cole scores a few goals. Big prospect.

CitiBlog understands MK Dons are set to complete the signing of Manchester City youngster Devante Cole on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old forward, who can also play out wide, scored seven times in 23 appearances for Barnsley on a temporary deal earlier this campaign.

He will join the club hoping to fill the void left by Benik Afobe who left to join Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier in the window.

Good move that. MK Dons play really attacking football and create lots of chances, and there is a space in the side for him after Afobe left.

Maybe a sweetener too if we go for Dele Alli.

A team that's going for promotion too, rather than languishing mid table which will be a good experience for him.

Edit: having now looked at the table :( Barnsley could be in trouble only being 3 points above the relegation zone.

It's good to see he is wanted on loan.

I think he will have a great career but I am not convinced he will be a top 4 Premier League player, time will tell though I suppose.

Could be like his dad. Couldn't break through at Arsenal. Joined Bristol City, did well, earned a move to Newcastle and, well, the rest is history.

Another useful loan move and providing he shows the right attitude he will game valuable game time.
