Twitter suspended a number of fake accounts over the weekend that were using false names to spread pro-Trump propaganda.

In a tweet on Saturday, President Donald Trump expressed thanks to Twitter user @Protrump45, an account that posted exclusively positive memes about the president. But the woman whose name was linked to the account told Heavy that her identity was stolen and that she planned to file a police report. The victim asserted that her identity was used to sell pro-Trump merchandise.

Although “Nicole Mincey” was the name displayed on the Twitter page, it was not the name used to create the account. The real name of the victim has been withheld to protect her privacy.

The @Protrump45 account also linked to the website Protrump45.com which specialized in Trump propaganda. All of the articles on the website were posted by other Twitter users, which also turned out to be fakes.

Mashable noted that the accounts were suspected of being so-called “bots” used to spread propaganda about Trump. Russia has been accused of using similar tactics with bots during the 2016 campaign.

By Sunday night, Twitter had suspended @Protrump45 and all of the Twitter accounts associated with the Protrump45.com website. However, Trump had not removed his tweet thanking @Protrump45 by the time of publication.

To save you reading the tweet trail, they're been using stock photographs of black people and women to create fake 'positive' images of Trump supporters.

But if you wanna believe that it's everyone else who is fake news, carry on.

You do realize that the MSM in America gave Dumb Donald over a billion dollars worth of free publicity while making the email controversy out to be the greatest crime ever committed don't you?

Has anyone mentioned the £9 million the remain campaign got from the EU to promote their campaign yet? Most of the coverage I saw on MSN was anti-Trump and it didn't work, like it didn't work stopping the people voting for Brexit. Politicians receiving donations isn't a new thing but what's new is the constant background noise from those not happy with either result.
 
It's a website, not an account. All the accounts linked to the website were suspended because a large number could be demonstrated to be either stock photos or stolen identities.

It's not just an account, it's accounts.

Click-farms and bots are the best and easiest way these days to spread any agenda you want in the digital world. They are used in millions to create fake social accounts, companies to boost their products, spread fake news, or just to make money with posts or website hits. Below is just one example.
