FA Cup Games 11/12/13 March

And that is why video technology will never be brought in. United, would have finished with 8 men and all we would hear about is how the game is ruined

I remember when Spurs lost the plot V Chelsea last season and Clattenberg was credited for 'managing the event' - that's not in the rules and I suspect that video technology wouldn not be given leeway to 'manage the event'
Clattenburg was credited with managing the event, yet both clubs were charged and two players retrospectively banned, which would suggest that he didn't do a very good job.

Still don't get all the wanking over Kante, he just runs about a hell of a lot. His passing is average, and his goal record speaks for itself.

I agree to an extent, however, compare him to Pogbad, who is easily a better footballer but has absolutely no idea how to play the game in a positional sense, he's all over where as Kante is disciplined and does what he's supposed to do which is help his team. One is a team player and one is out there for himself.

Makalele was widely considered the very best in that position in World football and if I'm not mistaken he score one goal. A penalty after the game and season was already won.

Kante is simply superb. His passing his more than good enough, it's very forward thinking and his ability to win the ball back is unrivalled.

Was going to make the same comparison. Makélélé never was much of a passer but then he didn't need to be. He just had to be good enough to find a more creative player, who then would start the move. But boy did Makélélé become invaluable to his team. You only realise it once these types of players are gone how good they were.

That reminds me of the end of game game with Chelsea - Chelsea were charged with 'not controlling their players' yet no players were charged with anything

Point of order - best of all time.

I wouldn't swap him for Ferna.

3 years ago perhaps not. As one's 25 and one is 31. It's a bit of a no brainer.

He's possibly not as good on the ball as Fernandinho but he's much better defensively. He's fucking everywhere and not in a Dickov type way, he's everywhere with a purpose and his regaining of possession is the best I've seen.
