The situation in Spain is different from here.
Small Clubs cannot afford to have big squads, the TV money these clubs get is a pittance.
There are no parachute payments if they go down so they rely on loan players who they can get rid of if they are relegated.
All the Girona fans I met are more than happy with our association.
The one thing they really want is for Pep to manage them someday.

Good news: Girona's reserve team CF Peralada that have just lost the promotion battle for 3rd division are getting there anyway. They've got a place in Segunda B Division after a couple of teams failed to comply with financial regulations and were automatically relegated, if I'm getting it right.
