At the tender age of 29 (30 in 3 weeks), I think the time is fast approaching to move out of the folks gaff and buy my own place. Don't want to rent as it is dead money, and I'm in a decent enough job.

Prices are on the move. About a year ago was probably the best time money wise

honestly its been a nightmare, but only cos the bloke selling the house was a cock.

if the person selling is using an internet estate agent or internet solicitor, walk away

Deffo buy a house, may as well put money into a mortgage instead of rent. It's a buggar having a mortgage, but if you didn't you'd still have to live somewhere and be shelling out a few hundred quid a month into rent. May as well throw it into something worthwhile.

Now's a good time for fixed rate mortgages before they go up isn't it? Need to re-negotiate mine
