Transfermarket has Sterling on 9 Premier League assists.

I assumed that meant they counted penalties won but the when I looked at his stats for the cup games they've only credited him with 1 assist against West Ham.

Transfermarket are unusal compared to most stats sites because they DO count penalties in the assists tally. So, Sterling has 2 assists for the league game the other night.

He only has 1 assist for the cup game against West Ham. Zaba was brought down for the penalty and Zaba got the assist.
