Police statement on reports of crowd problems
Posted at18:34

There have been reports of a small number of supporters in the Millwall section getting past police and stewards and confronting a number of Barnsley fans inside Wembley.

The Metropolitan Police said: "At approximately 16:35 on Sunday 29 May during the League One play-off final between Millwall and Barnsley at Wembley an altercation between a small number of fans occurred.

"No arrests have been made at this stage and enquiries continue.

"The Metropolitan Police Service will conduct a review and will liaise with the Football Association and the two clubs involved to identify those responsible and where necessary take the appropriate action."

A spokesman for Millwall FC said the club deplored the actions of a small minority of its fans during the second-half of Sunday's League One play-off final.

He added: "Such behaviour is unacceptable and anyone found guilty of disorder will face life bans from the football club."

I bet outside was a bit tasty too! If ever this toxic club fold I will sink a few beers in celebration.

KAM AND AVE A GO IF YA FINK YAW 'ARD ENUFF!!!!

These sort of games always fetch out the old goons who haven't been for years due to the ease of getting tickets. I used to work with a guy who supports them but now lives in Kent but never goes and he got THREE tickets easily. Whether they like it or not Millwall are a club with a fair proportion of utter scum who latch onto them. Wherever they play the tickets should be sold to verified and vetted members only. An exclusion zone should be set up around grounds and anyone not verified arrested until three hours after the game then de arrested and booted off home.If that means their end is half empty tough fucking shit!

It's unfathomable how these vermin actually won the League 1 Family Club of the Year award!
Hardly "unfathomable": those who judged it weren't in the away section or weren't in the ground at all when playing bigger clubs.
Remember that game in 98-99 with less than fond memories, made even worse when that **** Theo Pathetis (IIRC) was defending the twats on the radio a couple of days later.
