It's creepy as fuck, but I do get the idea behind it I suppose. Everyone now accepts that being gay isn't a choice and there's nothing you can do about it, so you'd have to at least hope that being a paedo isn't a choice either, but obviously what you do with those impulses very much is. I don't know enough about it, but is there any options for someone who is attracted to kids other than suppressing it and hoping for the best? I can see that some alternative option is needed, but I really don't think this is it.

Ideally you'd want some system in place for people who are attracted to kids to be able to admit it and get some kind of help, rather than only finding out about them when they do something awful. Finding kids sexually attractive definitely isn't a choice, just as homosexuality isn't a choice. Acting on the urges is a choice. Not sure your presenting a good argument here, can't work out if you want to ban homosexuality again or legalise paedophilia
