Not!
They did that to Swansea in 2011/12, when their first game back in the PL was on a Monday night in Manchester at our place. I thought that was shocking and showed complete contempt for the match-going fans.Vienna_70 said:It's disgusting expecting Sunderland supporters to travel nearly 300 miles each way on a Monday.
That means on - possibly two - days off work and a five-six hour journey to and from a football match.
Fair enough if it's the teatime KO on a Saturday or dinner time on a Sunday, but on a Monday with an 8:00 start?
Ridiculous, IMHO.

Its been done to us many many times over the years, lots of long distance Monday away nights, everyone gets the same treatment apart from a couple of clubs in the northwest who's (red) away following get a local game.KippaxCitizen said:Monday 27th April 2009, 8.00pm, St James' ParkPrestwich_Blue said:They did that to Swansea in 2011/12, when their first game back in the PL was on a Monday night in Manchester at our place.
