Neville/Giggs's plans for Manchester city centre.

More soulless uninspiring glass shit. Luxury Investment apartments, fancy restaurants, 'trendy' bars and overpriced designer shops. Great, just what Manchester needs. And they call that 'development' ??

Its based on the kind of football their former team now plays.

Fair play to them, at least they're investing.

If you want the city to succeed then you need glass skyscrapers, you're not going to grow making shite that's quirky but not friendly for businesses.

If it was Goatet and Dickov doing it, not that they'd afford it, you'd all be creaming yourselves at how great it is they're building something.

Neville is also doing loads for the homeless as a side note.

I know a lad who shagged his wife in a tent. She wasn't homeless though.

you like it then?
It's a damn sight better than the original MAKE scheme. Suprisingly enough, new scheme Architect Hodder, was 'advising' the council on the quality and suitability of the last scheme, whilst knocking his own up on the sly....

Pleased they kept the Police Station - not particularly old or architecturally wondrous, but fitted in very well with the link to St. Peter's Sq, the Library and the buildings on Peter Street. Nice museum piece really. The city is going to be full of towers in a few years, so perhaps this wasn't the best place for more...but I think once Hodder refines the tower they're proposing, it might be a much better scheme (at street level too).

New scheme submitted to planning last week.

Abercrombie pub is kept as is the police station frontage.
