Very many in our society now (remember there is no such thing as society according to some) have no home, but flit from house to house.
The real figure of homeless is vastly underestimated.

They just need to go to their local council and be signposted or get a rental bond, lots of HMOs will take them etc. Maybe you should find out and direct them to the support on offer and see how they react?

The "Nasty Party" have been gazumped by the "Even Nastier Party" it seems. It's a puzzle though, that they seem to know the details of so many of the rough-sleepers, surely they do not meet them at their lodge meetings, or polo club jollies; or maybe they engage them in conversation? Perhaps their insider knowledge is from that font of all things tory, the daily fukn mail.

Why does everything on here turn to a Labour v Tory argument? Like kids blaming each other depending on what party they support.

A lot of homeless people haven't been let down by 'the system', at the end of the day if they are clean and can prove it then there are a lot of charities that help you get back on your feet, that might mean having to start off in a not too welcoming hostel, but there is help out there.

Last few times I've been to town I've been shocked by how many more there are, a big group of young lads were in a doorway on market St near H&M intimidating people as they're walked past acting like pricks.

had to try and find beds for a few punters yrs ago, by and large the most heartbreaking part of pastoral care. Go and wait 4 hrs to see if they can sort you out a bed, come back tomoz if you dont get one, your front of the queue

Help is available to them IF THEY WANT IT. A lot of them don't, they have checked out of what society considers a normal life.
