Whilst there has always been a lot of media talk about players moving to a bigger club and wasting their careers like Rodwell and Sinclair.

Can you think of any players who habe declined the chance to move club and seen their career stagnate as a result?

Agbonlahor stands out. When he burst onto the scene he was linked with the likes of Chelsea and instead has wasted that talent at Villa.

Ashley Williams seems to be another who was linked with Liverpool but now looks bang average for Swansea.

Baines should have moved a couple of seasons ago when he had the chance,he looks very average now and doesn't even take the free kicks as much

Le Tiss, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Yes, he showed fantastic loyalty to Southampton. But what a career he might have had if he had gone to one of the established "big" clubs back then. And he'd have surely amassed considerably more than 8 (!) England caps.

Bony SHOULDN'T have changed clubs!!!

I suppose people are going to say Le tissier should have had more ambition but we've seen so many examples of it going tits up.

Good shout.

He probably would have nailed down the England LB position if he had gone to United.

It's a sad state of affairs that players should need to play at the bigger clubs to improve but there is a reason why the majority of the Spain squad play for Barca or Madrid and Germany for Bayern or Dortmund.

David Hurst. Seem to remember him knocking on the England door and getting eyed up by a few of the bigger clubs (or clubs who were considered big back then). Chose to stay at Sheff. Wed. (or the decision was made for him to stay at Sheff. Wed.)

What happened to him?
