I'm not privy to the details but there's nothing to stop GMP sacking the officer if the balance of evidence weighs against him. It doesn't hinge on a successful prosecution.

If he refuses to comment, that speaks volumes IMO.

Sounds on the face of it like they have no bottle or couldn't be arsed. Not good either way.

Very little actual information in that story. Not a lot GMP can do with an unproven allegation with seemingly little or no evidence.

Saying that, there is perhaps no smoke without fire but difficult to comment further.

actually the police officer was arrested twice but GMP failed to act it was only picked up because the IPCC came across it hidden away during an inspection dead right to bash corrupt coppers

we need a police force we can trust imagine your are a BME person eg Vinne or Yaya Toure and this guy is dealing with a racial assault against you how much effort do you think he'd put in to catch the culprit? zero or less if it was possible so far from being fucked without them with this one were fucked with them
