Ref also blocked off the passing lines on numerous occasions almost acting as an additional defensive midfield player

All they have to do is make a couple of shaky decisions, and everyone thinks they are incompetent. In reality they know exactly what they are doing.

Can someone please explain why when he booked the first Everton player he stopped the game. You can not stop the game just to book someone and then restart with a drop ball. There was no injury, and he in the ref`s opinion played an advantage to City after a clear foul that our 1 attacker faced by 3 or 4 defenders did not take advantage of. The game should have been brought back to a free kick to City, or he should have waited until the ball went out of play. Bizarre, or just plain shite officiating.

Can someone please explain why when he booked the first Everton player he stopped the game. You can not stop the game just to book someone and then restart with a drop ball. There was no injury, and he in the ref`s opinion played an advantage to City after a clear foul that our 1 attacker faced by 3 or 4 defenders did not take advantage of. The game should have been brought back to a free kick to City, or he should have waited until the ball went out of play. Bizarre, or just plain shite officiating.

There was a whole raft of crazy fucking decisions like that - How can you give an advantage which when not taken restart the game with a drop-ball?
How can you not give a blatent pass-back?
How can you not make players that have gone down injured go off the field upon restarting of play?
How can you send walker off like that, especially when you yourself don't see the incident clearly?

I swear at one point the linesman was shaking his head he was so bad.

Neither bizarre or shite in my opinion. Just careful game management in favour of a particular team, dressed up as incompetent refereeing.

Scudamore has a strategic plan to have new name on the PL trophy every 6 years. How else is he going to achieve this other than having a bearing on the outcome of the games?
