My first reaction to a chance that has been spurned is to think of a half dozen PL strikers putting it away and nicking three points. Aguero used to score goals for fun, good chances, half and quarter chances. If yer played a game of What Happened Next and showed a bit of footage of the ball ending up on Sergio's foot, it's touch and go whether, not knowing the outcome one way or the other, that many would get the goals and misses sorted.

But teams like that don't play like they do against Everton when they play us, they park the bus and force us to work in tight spaces. Lukaku doesn't handle that well at all, the vast majority of his goals come in the last 10 minutes of games in which his team is already winning. He's great if the opposition is chasing the game and leaving huge spaces for him to run into, not so great when they aren't
