Good read that letter. His point about noon kick offs is well made. It has astounded me for years that commentators and pundits will often point out that a match and atmosphere is flat and they will actually acknowledge that it is often the case for a lunch time kick off. The lunch time kick off that is happening because they have asked for it. Fucking incredible really.

It really is an excellent read, but the measures he suggests immediately after the final photo are the sort of things the football authorities and the clubs themselves should be insisting on in order to safeguard the future of the game. Sadly they're all far too blinded by the money on offer to give anything even close to resembling a shit. The extent to which they have effectively handed over the running of the game to TV companies is astonishing when you think about it.
