The Hughes out mob....

nice post mate, but i dont agree.

He is getting so many things wrong.

Even when we were on a bad patch with Sven, there was nothing like the unrest there is now. We never played as bad as we have done recently. Hughes tactics are shocking. His man management skills are poor to say the least. His reluctance to change things. His ego where he thinks he is bigger than the club. People slagged Sven for not having a plan B, neither does Hughes. When we are loosing, Hughes just fades into the background, doesnt give clear instructions and never changes it. His obsession with Vass.

AAAARRGGGHHHHHHHHH

Dont disagree with you and at least you put a good point accross and could be bothered to read it! I think (I hope) the Vass thing is to put him in the shop window for Jan and I had heard he was involved in a poss move to another prem club? Hope so anyway. Agreed his man management isnt the best from what we hear and my mate who played under him at Blackburn last season has told me that their squad was split 50/50 with regards to his tactics etc. Feel this is the same at City, Some accept the change and some dont. Thats life I guess.

man i just looked at that huge block of text and my eyes glazed over like watching a hughes press conference. i'm not reading that.

I didn't get past the 'they gave Fergie time and look what happened' bit...

...although in the highly unlikely event we ever employ Fergie I will take it into consideration.

How do you explain the Hughes tactic of HOOFING the ball, and how the world class players we are about to sign are going to adapt to it?

i hop hughes doesnt tells them players to hoof it , for me dunne ball richards cant pass the ball so they just hoof it and have been all season i remember at a game when elano kept passing the ball back to dunne . Dunne then just hoofed it , hughes was going mad at elano and he started shrugging his shoulders blaming the players in front . At the moment our so called team aint playing as a team because some are good players and the others are not on there wave length.

Wouldnt know what has been said since the game finished in all honesty as been trying to calm down and get my thought together.

Yet a day after an article blaming certain players (including Dunne and Ball) are troublemakers, you seem to think that Dunne and Ball are troublemakers, I wonder why?

Didnt know this and thats the true... Dont read the papers.

I do blame Hughes for some things but who could have played today that would have changed things? How could Hughes effect the situation? It's the players that should take the blame, who should hold their hands up and say "Ok fair cop we were the problem. no communication and lack of tracking back. Sorry fans for wasting your money".

Nedum could have played instead of a badly out of form Micah. Elano could have played instead of Gelson, or even instead of Vass. Instead of playing 2 defensive midfielders against one of the lightest scoring teams in the league we could have tried Garrido on the left and moved Ireland to his best position. We could have made sure that SWP was given every opportunity to run at Robinson after his yellow card. We could have given Caicedo a chance earlier in the game. We could have rested Robinho on Wednesday night instead of playing him in a reserves side.

Elano is ill so thats why he didnt play, and none of those others mentioned are proven to be any better except Garrido. How do you know SWP wasnt told too and just bottled out? Yeh Caicedo could have come on earlier but did he really make that much of an impact? A lucky goal! Robinho may have begged to play we just dont know?

I'm not saying the players are blameless, but neither is the manager. By a long shot.

I ask you this... What if YOU are wrong? What if Hughes can turn us around? Dont all managers get it wrong at times? One decent win and the belief could flow again, the results could follow and the points start totting up. I'm no-ones fool, but I am realistic and dont see causing more unrest by chopping and changing as the way to go. 3 more games and then yes I will join your band of "merry" men.

What if I'm wrong? Well, nothing really, it doesn't matter one bit if I am right or wrong.

And FWIW I have no band of merry men, I am just a supporter with an opinion.

Fair enough and you are entitled to that opinion as am I

TBH whilst I admire your sentiment, your argument is based purely on your opinion and very little fact.

The 'Taggart Turnaround Factor' is very much the exception, can you name one other manager who has turned things around at a club like that?

Ireland has been a revelation this season, but he started his preseason before Hughes was named the manager and it was very much off his own back after realising he was being a fool to himself. I've not read anything anywhere where Ireland has spoken about Hughes, though I am willing to stand corrected on that. The upshot is Ireland is playing well because Stephen Ireland wants to play well.

As for players like Dunne having his 'card marked' thats your opinion have you any basis of fact to support this? Surely if Hughes did not want Dunne he wouldn't have him as Captain.

He's got two games maximum for me. Today was an easier game than it will be against both Hull and Blackburn.

Tell me some players who played today dont know they wont be playing next year? Be real, yeh my opinion and I have no "fact" except we all know it to be true... Ball for one wont be playing much.

just an fyi, elano wasn't ill. hughes just left him out.

How do you know? Sky said several times that he had the flu so didnt play. I can only comment on what we are told.

trust city to put a downer on christmas ffs.

Agreed but I aint down, P1ssed off yeh but I genuinely think we will turn this around. We only need to put a few results in the bag to get us going again. Your a poster I respect, what do you think and be honest, Am I totaly wrong in what I posted? I just dont see sacking the manager the best way to move forward just yet.
