Except in the 1999-2000 season when the withdrew from the Cup to play in some tin-pot World Club championship (purely for money). The following season they were allowed back in at the Third round stage when IIRC the rules at the time regarding seeding for the cup were based on the previous seasons performance in the cup. As they didn't field a team, they should have been made to start in the 1st round with all the non-league clubs.
