Exclusive: Trump surges in support, almost even with Clinton in national U.S. poll

Washington (CNN)Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, the likely general election presidential nominees, are running neck-and-neck in the battleground states of Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania, results driven by wide gender and racial gaps among voters, a new general election poll shows.

Clinton edges Trump in Florida and Pennsylvania, while Trump leads in Ohio, according to the Quinnipiac University poll released Tuesday.
In both Florida and Pennsylvania the poll shows Clinton narrowly over Trump, 43% to 42%. In Ohio, Trump leads Clinton 43% to 39%.

God I would love to see a wall and a curb on immigration. Those are the two good things that would come from a Trump presidency. Hillary has said that there is no investigation against her, it's a "security inquiry". Yesterday, the director of the FBI said it was an investigation, not an inquiry. He said there is no such thing as a "security inquiry".

The FYI have already leaked that Hillary won't be charged, the crime has to have known intent so it's a no goer even the republicans have given up on that.

There is more likely to be Martians opening the worlds biggest bingo hall on the Orkneys than there is of the wall being built, even trump knows that it's just bluster to see if he can hook a few votes. He is a wealthy New York liberal on an ego trip who will dive to the left when his nomination is finalised. Trouble is he is an unhinged egomaniac as well but it's funny how many people believe stuff he just makes up to get a vote

as for the poll basically there are about 130 safe electoral votes for the republicans and about 240 for the dens so the dems need about 30 votes of the 170 or so that are in the 15 stars called swing states. Interestingly the dems are within 5 pts in states like Utah, Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina where they would normally be 20 pts down and the republicans are defending the most senate seats on nearly a century. Could be a bloodbath for the republicans that makes Obamas 2014 look like a blip
