Swansea - Post match thread

Very good first half, seemed to go back to our worst second half... Think the first half was almost too easy in some ways. Came out complacent after HT.

Sane and Jesus are exceptional. Sane just glides around the pitch, Sterling should watch him closely. Yaya was brilliant first half. Mixed day for Willy, did almost everything right but should have saved that really - Bravo would be getting pelters if he'd let that in. Still unconvinced by Stones too. Rather have Vinny or Otamendi in for sure.

Good three points though in the end.

I agree, I was always happy to back him up. She kid professional, always put a shift in and the embrace between him and Jo in the qpr 2012 game will live with me to my grave.

Alas even I have to admit he's been dire this season.

We've spent so long lamenting our lack of strikers and reliance on Kun since the club decided to sell Dzeko, Negredo, Jovetic, Tevez etc and claim to replace them with fecking Bony. Now, we finally have a striker to reduce that reliance and bolster our attack and suddenly some of our fans seem desperate for Aguero to go and put us back in that position. 10 mins before half time, we visibly stopped running and attacking. Toure went into walkabout mode a la last year, and he slowed the whole game down. He may have been a bit bored, but this continued into the second half and we were lucky to get the points there. Let him finish the season, then get rid. If he gets a new contract, he will start fucking about again, and Seluk will be back in the news
 
Must have watched a different game I thought Fernandinho was ok thought sane was quiet today and kolorov played well. Clichy was poor as usual that left back spot is haunting us hope it's rectified in the summer.overall great first half but Swansea shaded the second but 3 points is all what matters at this stage. Let's get some consistency going and see where we end up come what may.

Fookin hell this place is depressing. Only popped in to share the celebrations of a last min winner by our very own wonderkid and players gettin slated. Sergio our greatest striker is off and pep doesnt know how to manage a team over 90min! Jesus wept. Wheres the city won and spoiled the ragtop headlines in the last min thread?
 
In the first half, Silva and Sane were causing chaos down the left, out they come 2nd half and Silva's on the right. Sane goes to pot and Silva disappears. Sane goes out to the right late in the game and they both come to life again. Their link play is fantastic to watch.

Wonderful first half although was surprised that Swansea were pretty passive and gave Yaya and Dave loads of time and space. Big difference in second half was that they were far more aggressive and closed down the supply line from Yaya and Dave. That's why we struggled I think. Will have to watch the recording. Quiet game from Sane and Raheem but they can't be world beaters every game. GJ is going to score a shed load. He looks a real predatory striker.

Anyone else at LB. Clichy has been worse than poor. His passing is poor, positioning is shit, concentration levels are low and his decision making has been abysmal. I doubt any of the Academy LBs would be worse

What exactly did Sterling do so bad today?
Thought he had a decent game.
Got into some great positions and just lacked the final ball. This will improve under Pep.
Silva I thought was excellent today. Not sure what he did badly as captain.
I do agree Clichy is over the hill.
I certainly wouldn't want us to be the all blacks of football...they may be winners but they also are the dirtiest bunch of ****s about.
