Absolutely. Fucking shit on the nonces.I gather this has not gone down well with senior managers at the BBC and shit is being deposited on heads from a great height. And rightly so.

I say turn the screw. We cannot have a totally rag biased team running the BBC sports department. With all their fawning documentaries, choosing their games as one of the live ones in the FA Cup, when really they excite no one outside of the two club's involved and sly dogs at us, we knew beyond any doubt what was going on. To publicly ridicule a football fan of seventy plus years who has followed his club loyally for over fifty years was the final straw. They need exposing for what they are to the nation,, a bunch of nasty rag infested biased bastard's!

Are we? People are rightly annoyed with the BBC for taking the piss out of a City fan using a word that only rags use. Yet your first contribution to the thread was a sarcastic dig at the City fans who have expressed their disgust at the BBC. So forgive me for wondering why a City fan would attempt to take the piss out of other City fans, when there is a big fat juicy target called the BBC, who actually deserve it.

Agreed Bill, I think this tread shows that we are starting. A few weeks ago Neil Cu*tis was on the BBC to discuss, whether City get treated unfairly by the media. His opinion treated as fact was its nonsense and we are just paranoid. It couldn't have been more ironic to have that arsehole offering an opinion on the subject on the particular broadcasterit makes no difference. some type of editor, online or otherwise, has sanction the story on Pete. please city ban the bbc from the Etihad. its time we started fighting back.

No one can fail to notice that there has been a creeping Rag bias on BBC sport for some time, it's not only us that have noticed it fans of other clubs have as well, one could accuse the BBC of going for the popular choice given the amount of Rag armchair fans there are, it's all about clicks

We do need to hit back strongly at incidents like this. The BBC is funded by taxpayers and needs to be fully held to account. The way they have mocked one of our fans was cruel and despicable. Not all members of the BBC online sports team are juvenile fools and some of them will be angry about this. This incident shows that the social media team at Salford is not being managed properly. As fans we have to stick together on this sort of thing. As a group we can influence things. I always believed that it was the threatened fans' boycott of Greenall Whitley beer (they used to be major shareholders in City at the time) which finally got rid of Peter Swales. The Sun newspaper never recovered from the Merseyside boycott which was also shared by many fans in the North West following Hillsborough. The BBC cares deeply about its brand and reputation...not least because it is currently facing huge political pressure to reform.
