Summer Transfers

It's an educated guess. I've speculated on it since December, and oddly links showed up in Jan(lazy journos reading here).

If Leicester go down, he's a shoe in to move.

Homegrown and club trained plus we'd get him relatively cheap considering his pedigree. Looks comfortable with his feet and is by all accounts a model pro.

It would also be a pr masterstroke after the Joe/ Bravo mess to bring home an academy lad for Joe's shirt.

I just wouldn't be surprised in the slightest to see it happen.
If there is any truth to the senior players driving out the greatest manager in Leicester history, then its a no for me.

And lets be fair he is no better than Joe with his feet. And if Joe wasn't good enougg, he won't be.

PS: Leceister won't go down.

Ive never heard rumours about Joe I must admit. That said the public persona can conflict with the reality when you meet players.
I think the disparity in opinion about Joe is over talent and not personality. Some just don't think he is as talented as a lot of fans think he is.

Lots of mids. But then again you are letting go of Yaya, Fernando, Dihno and Delph. That's a lot.

I really don't see how or why Dihno will be let go with his utility value and 1 year left. The other 3 I can see. Yaua's contract is up. Delph is too injury prone and Fernando lacks utility.

Personally I'd keep Dihno and not get either Fabihno or Dahood.

Definitely in the get Isco camp. Also get 2 fullbacks. My preferences in this order (RB: Semedo, Perreira, Heinrich, Karsdorp) and (LB: Bernat, Grimaldo, Sinkgraven, Mendy). Get Ederson. Unconvinced by any of our goalies long term potential (Including Joe).

Then if possible top off with Mbappe.

Or Alternatively. Just get Messi :-)
If messi is available bring him in as well, I'm a big fan of fernandinho but he won't be a starter next season in my opinion, so I see no point in keeping him here when Garcia could be getting the minutes. Fabinho, Silva and kdb our 3 cms with dahoud, isco and Garcia in rotation. Fabinho can also great at RB his flexibility is a huge asset. Dahoud is meant to have a cheap buy out in the summer and pep is known to be a fan, he is far too good a deal to be missed at 8mil if true. And the fullbacks I have chosen can player lb and RB to give us good cover with a smaller squad which pep is know to favour.

If we don't bring in new full backs, do we all get one unchallenged "fuck off, Pep" post each for next season?

Fernando is not out of contract.

Its Yaya, Navas, the 3 fullbacks and Willy.

That said I agree with you we need more than 1 defensive signing.
You're right, my mistake. Reckon Fernando (and Delph) will be out the door either way. Also I reckon we won't retain any of those out of contract players (even though I would give Sagna another year).

You have left out Gundogan entirely.

I'll generally buy only1 midfielder. Personally Isco is my favorite. But ill take Dahood at that price over Isco if there is a gauging issue. Dihno can do Fabihno's utility job and back up multiple position for 1 more year.

So Isco or Dahood if price point is an issue

Multifunctional fullbacks: I think Ricardo Perreira is the best around. Its a bit of a shame that he is not as hyped as a lot of fullbacks. And it looks like Liverpool will get a free run at him.

Heinrich and Perreira will be my 2 multipositionrd fullbacks. Bring back Maffeo to challenge or backup the right side.

Then Mbappe. :) I think like Dembele last year, Mbappe is ready to blow. So I want him here challenging Sterling and Sane for the wing position. I like the idea of having g Aguero and the 4 young forward/Wingers as our 5 man frontline. 3 start, 2 on the bench.

Yraj, I sense that if the front office can they'll move both Nando and Delph.

We should steer well clear of Kasper Schmeichel. Jordan Pickford may be worth keeping closer tabs on but there aren't any other domestic keepers are that impressive.

I can't believe I forgot gundogan he was the signing I was most exciting about last summer. Think I would would make a move for dahoud with isco as a back up think there will be alot of interest in dahoud and because of his release there will be alot of very good offers on the table for him. Completely agree with mbappe he can cover a number of positions and would allow us to release or move on navas, nolito and as much as I hate to say it inheacho(it doesnt seem pep is a fan).

No CB signing?

If we rate him then sign him, keeping tabs is why we keep spending £50m on players. Sign them for £10m and if they don't work out you can still sell them on.

Pickford will probably go in the summer (especially if they get relegated) although there is potential there are still a few grey areas for Pickford to be considered ready and is probably not enough for our first team and I doubt Sunderland will sell for that price.

If someone doesn't leave, no. I think Stones will be better and Ota and Kolarov are quite capable CBs. If Kompany can stay healthy enough to be a decent 4th CB in half the games. We'll be fine. And if not, I can see Dihno playing lots of CB. I think its less important than most believe.

I agree it's tough with kompanys injury record but we don't really have space in the match team squad for another 30mil CB. Ota and stones are a good pairing we just get punished for every mistake. Kompany when fit starts and kolarov is a solid CB for rotation. Can't see us signing a CB unless one leaves.

Was Pickford not behind gunn in the England youth set up? If so why not just promote gunn?

I don't think we have any real interest in Pickford, it's no coincidence that we are linked with a player of every team we are about to play in the build up. It's just a case of very limited options at Sunderland. At least with Monaco we were linked to 3 or 4 of their players

Whatever happens with our keeper we saw on Wednesday what is expected of our keeper with his feet from Pep. Nothing I've seen from Pickford looks anywhere near that level from Bravo, just dont think hes a Pep keeper. Don't know about Gunn not seen enough but think he needs game time somewhere not being our second or third choice for us. Think our keepers next year will be a signing like Moraes, Bravo and maybe Grimshaw taking Gunns place who'll go on loan to a team that plays out from the back .

Schmeichel? Fuck that. Not a better keeper than Hart, not significantly better than Caballero, will be expensive and possibly among those who revolted against Ranieri.
