Very iffy first half. Sloppy passing and failed to keep possession but somehow went in a goal up. Second was so much better apart from the crossing which was frankly awful. Silva was outstanding, closely followed by Sane. The penny seems to have dropped with Aguero and he brings so much more to the team, instead of largely being a passenger as he was for most of the first half of the season. Toure had a curate's egg of a game although more good than bad. Kolarov and Stones were excellent and Clichy also looked a lot better. Sterling struggled to create anything and doesn't seem to be playing with great conviction at the moment, which is difficult to understand. De Bruyne looked really sharp when he came on though, in contrast to his very poor display on Wednesday.
I think that's harsh. He had a poor game by this seasons standards but he's been excellent lately.
Speaks better English than Rooney...... Normally does his talking on the pitch. Great to see him do an interview. Best player in the Prem. Absolutely love the way he does that 360 degree manoeuvre thing when up against a wall of opposing players. When he completes the circle he inevitably has disrupted the defence and plays someone in.Silva! Interview! In English!?
Thought Clichy was outstanding today.Professional and a great 3 points away that keeps the run going and the pressure on.
Its business time at the end of the season and we now look the business.
Sloppy up front today but still got 2 goals and we wore them down in the end and bossed the 2nd half completely.
Merlin and Sane had very good games, Raz not so much today but for me, stand out players where Stones and Kolarov and my MotM goes to AK who i thought looked great again as a CB.
I said the same on Wednesday about him. He's been reborn this season but for the last couple of games seems to have lost some confidence. Compare and contrast him to Sane, who is bursting with belief and running defenders ragged. Sterling suddenly seems to be very hesitant when he has the ball in a similar position. I'm not too worried about him, as I'm not too worried about KDB (who looked so much better today). Perhaps he just needs a bit of a break.I think that's harsh. He had a poor game by this seasons standards but he's been excellent lately.

I must admit, not many thought Kolarov had the capacity to play CB. Pep has worked some magic on him.Redknapp is a complete bellend.
Stones and Kolarov absolutely rock solid today. Kolarov particularly has been immense at CB this season.
It was.

Ozil - did nothing for his first year and fading again. Hazard - missing all of last season. Silva - perfection for nearly 7 years - head and shoulders the best player in the Prem.It just wasn't fair was it ?
Watching David Silva is like watching Caravaggio paint or Frank Sinatra sing, the guys the Loenardo Di Vinci of football
With better quality defenders next season (he says with baited breath) it`ll be much easier playing the ball out of defence. In that second half it seemed more like a training session than a PL game such was our dominance and we could have helped ourselves to a couple more goals. It could just be instructions from Pep. A few times today he hesitated and passed back when he could have beat his man. At the time I was shouting at the telly, but when I watched it back it was because he had little support at the time so he waited until he did. By that time the moment had passed and he passed back. It was the amount of time he lost control or made a poor pass or a silly flick that made me think he was below par.
In the first half, Sane seemed reluctant to take on his man too. They seemed like they wanted to keep possession rather than gamble on losing the ball.
Colin was so far ahead of his time that he could play in this current City team and be equally dominant - skill, ultra pace, vicious accurate shot, stamina and a Yaya surge. Lets just say Colin and David are the two greatest City players who ever lived. Before the game i predicted we would concede , how wrong was i , thought the defence and yaya / dinho were very good today , dare i say Kolarov is probably the best centre half at the club , if i had said that pre-season the men in white coats would have been coming for me.
Sane has got to be the most excitng prospect in the premier league (only because jesus is injured) and Merlin ? words can't describe him , always loved colin the king ,Bernarbia , Kinkladze , but Merlin is the best player ever to pull on a blue shirt , could'nt pay him a bigger compliment
Franny was genuine world class - winger turned striker. Foul him in the box and he went down, but no diver. Now was that Fall Down Franny Lee? Sorry, just going by the old clips.
Wyn Davies probably got more penalties given to him than Franny.Franny was genuine world class - winger turned striker. Foul him in the box and he went down, but no diver.
